this photoshoot led me to move home!

I recently enjoyed working with stylist Sian Willams to photograph this stunning home and garden for Country Homes and Interiors.
It is nestled just outside the lovely town of Presteigne, Powys.

The centerpiece of the property is its breathtaking Italian sunken garden, designed by the celebrated Welsh architect Clough Williams-Ellis. As someone who has always admired his work—especially the enchanting Italianate village of Portmeirion in North Wales—spending a serene sunrise in this private garden felt very special.

In a delightful twist of fate, the story didn’t end there. The homeowners, Andrea and Steve, later in the year invited me back to photograph the house next door, which they were preparing to put on the market. Jonathan and I had been house-hunting for a few years, but as soon as we saw it, we knew this was the perfect place for us!

Before the property even hit the market, we made an offer—and it was accepted! Now, we find ourselves living in a gorgeous little coach house, just steps away from this very garden.

It’s funny how life sometimes unfolds in the most unexpected and wonderful ways!
